Directions to Campsite Duinhorst

Please note: Entering the Buurtweg 135 address into a navigation system will not guarantee a good result. Following these directions is a better idea.

The route to Campsite Duinhorst changed with effect from 1st April 2010, as the council introduced a one way system on the Buurtweg from the campsite towards The Hague/Duindigt. This means the campsite can now only be accessed by car from the N14/N440’s Duindigt/Duinhorst exit.

By car:

From Amsterdam (A4): Take the A44 towards The Hague at the Burgerveen junction (6 km after Schiphol). Follow this road until you have reached The Hague and drive past Wassenaar (the A44 will merge into the N44 (Rijksstraatweg, then the Leidsestraatweg)). Once you have passed the fly-over (Van der Valk will be on your left), turn right at the second set of traffic lights (Willem Witsenplein, merging into Van Alkemadelaan) towards Scheveningen. Turn right at the third set of traffic lights (Waalsdorperweg) towards Wassenaar once you are on the Van Alkemadelaan (you will first pass the Bronovo Hospital on your left). At the roundabout take the first exit towards Wassenaar/Leidschendam (Landscheidingsweg N14/N440). Take the first Duindigt/Duinhorst exit off this road and you will see the ANWB Duinhorst sign. You will arrive at the junction for the campsite at the end of this exit.

From Utrecht (A12): Follow the A12 until you have reached The Hague (Utrechtse Baan) and turn right into the Benoordenhoutseweg at the first set of traffic lights. Stay in the left lane and turn left at the first intersection (Willem Witsenplein, merging into the Van Alkemadelaan) towards Scheveningen. Turn right at the third set of traffic lights (Waalsdorperweg) towards Wassenaar once you are on the Van Alkemadelaan (you will first pass the Bronovo Hospital on your left). You will be turning left and right within 50 meters and you will continue to follow the Waalsdorperweg like this and will not join the Waalsdorperweg.

From Rotterdam (A13): Follow the A13 towards The Hague and take the A12 towards The Hague at the Prins Clausplein. Follow the A12 until you have reached The Hague (Utrechtse Baan) and turn right into the Benoordenhoutseweg at the first set of traffic lights.

Public transport: Take bus number 43 to Leiden from The Hague Central Station until you have reached the Wittenburgerweg (Wassenaar) stop. Walk in the oposite direction of the bus (driving direction) until you reach the junction. Cross the tarmac road, turn into the Zijdeweg and follow this road (towards Scheveningen) until you reach a T-junction (the Zijdeweg runs parallel to the Landscheidingsweg). Turn left onto the Buurtweg and walk across the Landscheidingsweg using the fly-over. You will see the entrance to the campsite (Buurtweg 135) after approximately 100 meters.
